This part of the Peycibeau estate may be made available for holiday rentals at various times of the year, but never when the Grande-maison is occupied by other guests, as they always have exclusivity of the property.

During the months of high season, Julia and Glenn the owners of the estate, move out of the main house and into the self-contained Cottage. The Cottage has its own private entrances and does not overlook the main house at all. We moved from the UK to our beautiful Peycibeau 14 years ago and have never looked back! Having been in the holiday home rental business for 10 years now, don't worry we can immediately sense exactly how much or how little our guests want to interact with us. Your privacy is paramount to us, but at the same time you can "use" us as much as you like ...

You all deserve the most relaxing holiday possible, and to help you achieve this because we are conveniently available on site just next door, here are some of the services we can offer to our very special guests:

  • A pizza evening - we can either host the whole thing for you or teach you the tricks of the trade! We can buy the ingredients, prepare the dough and sauces, get the fire lit in the pizza oven, make and serve the pizzas for you - though we know you won't be able to resist getting involved - and clear everything up afterwards!

  • Advice and recommendations - you can ask our opinion on all the nearby tourist attractions, chateaux, caves, gardens and vineyards. We can help you choose the best local restaurants and wines, and if you like we can make bookings/reservations for you.

  • A taxi service - When you do venture out to dine in the evenings and perhaps sensibly you would prefer not to drive, we can chauffeur you back and forth to the restaurant (7-seat car available)

  • Babysitting - We can look after your children, daytime for example when the younger children are too small to go canoeing, or evening when the adults would like the odd child-free night out.

  • A food shopping service - especially prior to your arrival when we can shop for all your basic provisions. And if you prefer to lie-in the mornings, we can pop to the village Boulangerie for you to collect the breakfast bread & croissants!

  • Maid service - Full or part, tidying & cleaning the house and summer house daily, twice-weekly or however frequently you would like.

  • Laundry service.

  • Along with tending the gardens & the swimming pool, rubbish collection and general maintenance, some of the above services would of course be complimentary, though some services would be charged for in addition to the house rental. Let's discuss this in detail either prior to your arrival or when you get here, so that everyone can enjoy a truly relaxing holiday!

    The rental accommodation of the Cottage consists of a large living room, incorporating a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob & hood, microwave, and all the necessary kitchenware. Amongst other items in this room is a dining table with chairs, a dresser and a large sofa bed.

    Sleeping four persons, there are two comfortably furnished bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. An additional person could be accommodated on the sofa-bed in the living room. A cot is also available, and a washing machine, iron etc.

    There is Freeview satellite TV, a DVD player and also Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The large bathroom has a bath and a separate shower enclosure, a washbasin & WC. All bedding and towels are provided, including swimming pool towels, and there is central heating in all rooms.

    This guest wing of the house has totally private access, with an entrance through French doors at the front, and also a door to the rear garden where there is a secluded terrace with wooden garden furniture, a parasol, and a gas BBQ/grill. Also for small children, swings and a slide. A path leads directly to the solar-heated swimming pool (9m x 4m with a uniform depth of 1.4m) which is daily maintained, and also to the magnificent summer house which guests staying in the cottage are invited to make use of and enjoy (see Peycibeau/Summer House).
